Day 01: AGRA
Transfer to Goa’s Dabolim Airport and fly to Delhi. Drive to Agra (200 km/41/2 hours) and check in to Clarks Shiraz Hotel. In the afternoon visit the unforgettable Taj Mahal, a magnificent monument to love, built by emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved queen. Continue to the impressive Agra Fort and return to your hotel via the local bazaar and the hustle and bustle of everyday India.

Day 02: JAIPUR
Drive to Jaipur (235 km/5 hours) visiting the intriguing deserted red sandstone city of Fatehpur Sikri en route. On arrival, check in at Clarks Amer Hotel.

Day 03: JAIPUR
After breakfast, depart for a half-day excursion to Amber Fort, 11 km from Jaipur. Amber Fort is a marvellous example of Rajput architecture, with its terraces and ramparts which are reflected in the Maota Lake below. You will have the chance to ride an elephant up the hill to the fort, true to the style of the Maharajas of days gone by. This afternoon return to Jaipur for a city tour. Visit the City Palace Museum, resplendent with its collection of robes of royal princes, carpets and an armoury. Continue to the Jantar Mantar, an observatory built in 1726. Finally there will be a photo stop at the lovely Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds).

Day 04: DELHI
After breakfast, drive to Delhi (260 km/6 hours). On arrival, check in to the Ashok Country Resort. In the afternoon there will be a tour of New Delhi including Humayun's Tomb and Qutub Minar, then return to your hotel via the ceremonial avenue, Rajpath, past the imposing India Gate and Parliament House.

Day 05: GOA
A morning tour of Old Delhi will reveal this to be a city of contrasts. Start the day with a cycle rickshaw ride through Old Delhi. Visit the Red Fort, the most opulent Fort and Palace of the Moghul Empire built in red sandstone. Also visit Raj Ghat, the memorial site of the Mahatma Gandhi; Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India; and Chandni Chowk, the bustling and colourful market of the old city. Chandni Chowk was the commercial centre of Delhi in days of old and you will see it come alive in the morning as the trading day starts.
