Day 01: DELHI
Drive to Delhi (260 km/6 hours) and check in to your hotel. Afternoon tour of New Delhi.

Day 02: VARANASI
Transfer to the airport and fly to the holy city of Varanasi. Transfer to your hotel. Varanasi has been a centre of learning for over 2000 years. Today, it is still one of the most important pilgrimage sites in India. In the afternoon take a boat ride on the River Ganges to see the bathing Ghats.

Day 03: KATHMANDU
Transfer to the airport for a short flight over the majestic Himalayas to Kathmandu. Check in to your hotel. The sightseeing tour includes Durbar Square, the 2,000 year old Buddhist stupa of Swayambhunath and a chance to wander around the colourful local bazaars of Kathmandu.

Day 04: POKHARA
Drive through the Nepalese countryside to visit the ancient city of Patan. Then drive to Bhadgaon, also known as Bhaktapur and tour the royal palace. Return to Kathmandu and check out of your hotel, then drive to Pokhara (198 km/6 hours) nestled in the foothills of the Himalayas.

Day 05: POKHARA
A full day to explore Pokhara at leisure. Pokhara is known for its lovely lakes Phewa, Begnas and Rupa, which have their source in the glacial Annapurna Range of the Himalayas. A place of remarkable natural beauty, Pokhara also offers splendid views of the fishtailed summit of Machhapuchhre.

Day 06: KATHMANDU
Drive to Kathmandu (198 km/6 hours). Afternoon at leisure.

Day 07: KATHMANDU
In the morning visit Nyatapola Temple, the greatest living example of traditional Nepalese temple architecture, and highest temple in the Kathmandu valley. Then visit one of the largest stupas in the world at Bodhnath. Afternoon at leisure. Day 08: RETURN
Transfer to Delhi Airport for the Excel Airways daylight flight to Gatwick.
