RAJASTHAN EXPLORER

There is nothing so beautiful and tempting as one comes across in the princely cities of Rajasthan. Check in for a delightful encounter with an array of impregnable forts and magnificent palaces along with equally charming havelis. Passed through some exotic sun dunes on the back of a camel or enjoy the romance and beauty of a bristling past in front of a scintillating lake. Take a pilgrimage to some magnificent Jain temples or lost in the world of exquisite art and crafts. Come across some colorful bazaars and festivals or share a memorable moment with the warm, friendly and fun-loving natives of the land.

Day 01: JODHPUR
After breakfast, drive from Jaipur to Jodhpur
(350 km/7-8 hours) and check in to your hotel. Jodhpur was the home of the Rathore rulers of the princely State of Rajasthan. A 10 km-long stone wall protects the well fortified old city.
Day 02: JAISALMER
After breakfast, visit Meherangarh Fort and Jaswant Thada – an imposing white marble cenotaph built in memory of the 19th century rulers. Later, drive to the magical desert city of Jaisalmer (287 km/6-7 hours) and check in to your hotel.
Day 03: JAISALMER
Nothing else in India is remotely similar to Jaisalmer. Built in the 12th century, this citadel city is an architectural dream in yellow sandstone lying in the lonely silence of the Thar Desert. In the morning visit Garhi Sagar Lake and the Fort. Afternoon excursion to Sam Sand Dunes (40 km) where you will have the chance to ride a camel in the desert. Return to Jaisalmer for overnight.
Day 04: JODHPUR
Drive to Jodhpur and check in to your hotel. In the afternoon visit Mandore Gardens (9 km from Jodhpur).
Day 05: UDAIPUR
Drive to the enchanting city of Udaipur (280 km/
7 hours), visiting the Jain temples at Ranakpur en route. Udaipur is a cool oasis in the dry heart of Rajasthan and is arguably the most romantic, atmospheric and picturesque city in the state. Overnight at your hotel.
Day 06: DAY 13 FRIDAY – UDAIPUR
The morning tour of Udaipur includes a visit to the Jagdish temple, a fine example of Indo-Aryan art, and Sahelion Ki Bari, ‘garden of the maids of honour’. In the afternoon, take a boat cruise on the serene and beautiful Lake Pichola.
Day 07: DELHI
After breakfast, transfer to Udaipur airport and fly to Delhi. Transfer to your hotel.
Day 08:DELHI
Morning sightseeing tour of New Delhi.
Day 09:RETURN
Transfer to Delhi Airport for the Excel Airways daylight flight to Gatwick.
