Break in the Backwaters
Day
01 Delhi / Cochin
Transfer to New Delhi Airport and board your flight to Cochin. Receive assistance
upon arrival and check in to your hotel.
At sunset enjoy a relaxing cruise on the tranquil backwaters and see the
Chinese fishing nets. Later return to hotel for overnight stay
Day 2 Cochin
This morning enjoy a sightseeing tour -- visiting the Dutch Palace, a walk through
the spice trading centres at Mattancherry to the Jewish Synagogue, and St Francis'
Church.
Later in the evening witness the ancient dance-drama of Kerala--- Kathakali.
Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 3 Cochin/ Kumarakom
Today take a short drive to Puthenangadi, wherefrom you will be transferred
by boat to Kumarakom for overnight stay at a lovely hotel.
Spend the afternoon at leisure, take an Ayurvedic massage or explore the
nearby bird sanctuary.
Day 4 Kumarom/ Riceboat
You will board a riceboat and go cruising on the backwaters the entire day,
observing village life along the banks.
Overnight stay at the riceboat with simple but comfortable modern en suite
facilities.
Day 5 Housboat/ Trivandrum
Morning disembark at Thotapally and transfer to Trivandrum city.
Enjoy city tour in the afternoon and return to hotel for overnight stay.
Day 6 Trivandrum
Transfer to Trivandrum Airport and board your onward flights.
