A tribute to nostalgia and royalty this is a luxurious twelve-coach train, conducting a whistle-stop tour touching some of the most impressive tourist destinations of India.

Each of the twelve saloons, come fully equipped with a lounge, sleeping cabins, kitchenmate and mini-bar. Style and comfort blend effortlessly in this leisure tour. The tour changes off from Delhi, and travels through princely Rajasthan, including Jaipur and Amber fort, Chittorgarh, Udaipur (Lake Palace Patel), Jaisalmer, Jodhpur (Umaid Bhawan Palace) and Bharatpur ending with Mughal tourist circuit of Agra, Fatehpur Sikri and Delhi.Feel like royalty - the Palace on Wheels –a completely self sufficient train. Fully air-conditioned, the train comprises of 14 deluxe saloons, equipped with class amenities to enhance the pleasure of travelling. Each saloon is a combination of 4 twin-bedded chambers, channel music, intercom, attached bathrooms, running hot & cold water and a shower.

The coaches are named after the erstwhile princely states: Jhalawar, Udaipur, Sirohi, Alwar, Bundi, Dhaulpur, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Jaipur, Alwar, Bharatpur, Durgapur, Kishangarh and Bikaner.

Twin - Bed Room

There are four coupes to each coach, with wall- to-wall carpeting, a lounge car, a library, a bar with a stock of the finest spirits and two dining cars-the Maharaja and the Maharani-serving Continental, Indian and Rajasthani cuisine. What’s more, each saloon has personal attendants or ‘Khidmatgars’, who are at your beck and call whenever you need anything.

Bar View

Tariff is all inclusive of travel/catering/conducted sightseeing/entrance fee at monuments/parks/palaces/cultural programme/camel ride/rickshaw ride and for still cameras, except for video cameras, liquor, laundary and other items of personal nature.

Note: 10% Surcharge shall be levied on departure during Christmas/New Year.

The reservation/cancellation on the Palace on wheels may be done as per the following terms and condition:

BOOKING

As per policy 100% in advance.

CANCELLATION

5% more than 60 days prior to departure.
20% between 30-59 days of departure
50% between 15-29 days of departure
100% between 14 days of departure

CHECK-IN
Reporting time is 7 pm at Delhi Cantt Railway Station.

MEALS
The two restaurant cars, the Maharaja and Maharani, serve a range of Indian, Continental and Chinese cuisine. Menus are changed seasonally.

EXCLUSIVE CHARTER
Companies can organise a "Business-cum-Pleasure" trip by chartering the truly luxurious Palace on Wheels for their conferences.

TEMPERATURE
Varies from 8 ^degC to 25 ^degC between October to March.
