Day 1 Delhi -- Samode
Drive to the heart of desert for an overnight stay at the Samode Palace/Samode
Bagh, one of the best heritage hotels in India. Set on a beautiful hillock in
the midst of acres of greenery, the palace comprise of richly decorated walls
and ceiling along with highly personalized service to make your stay truly memorable.
Day 2 Samode -- Shekhwati
This morning drive to the world famous Shekhwati District, well known for its
numerous painted mansions depicting rural life.
Afternoon, enjoy sightseeing tour in the various neighboring towns to view
the beautiful mansions.
Overnight halt at hotel in Shekhwati.
Day 3 Shekhawati -- Bikaner
You will proceed to the fortified city of Bikaner and check into the hotel.
In the afternoon visit the local sights including Junagarh Fort, built by Raja
Rai Singh. Later return to hotel for overnight stay.
Day 4 Bikaner -- Jaisalmer
Today morning drive deep into the heart of desert for a 2 nights stay in the
sparkling medieval town of Jaisalmer.
Spend the day at leisure and enjoy local folk dances over dinner.
Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 5 Jaisalmer
Enjoy sightseeing tour of Jaisalmer town in the morning followed by a camel
ride across the golden hued sand dunes at sunset.
Return to hotel in the evening for overnight stay
Day 6 Jaisalmer -- Jodhpur
This morning you will proceed for Jodhpur, once the stronghold of the Rathore
clan and the second largest city of the desert state of Rajasthan.
In the afternoon, enjoy city sightseeing tour that includes the Jaswant Thada
and the imposing Meherangarh Fort.
Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 7 Jodhpur
Today an interesting jeep ride will take you to the villages of the famous Bishnoi
tribes, known for their conservation practices. You will have picnic lunch during
your safari and later return back to hotel for overnight stay.
Day 8 Jodhpur----- Udaipur
Spend the morning at leisure. In the afternoon proceed for the romantic city
of Udaipur visiting the Ranakpur Jain Temples en route.
Transfer to hotel on arrival for overnight stay.
Day
9 Udaipur
Start the day with a city sightseeing tour, which includes the City Palace,
the largest palace complex in Rajasthan, Jagdish Temple and Sahelion-ki-Bari,
a garden built for the Maids of Honour.
Afternoon, free to relax or lazed around on your own.
Overnight at the hotel.
Day 10 Udaipur -- Delhi
After a relaxed morning you will be transferred to the airport to board your
onward flights.
