Day 01:
Arrive Delhi, Check-In.Afternoon city tour.
Day 02:
Lecture and slide presentation on the Indus
valley civilization.
Day 03:
Delhi-Kurukshetra by surface.
Day 04 :
Visit the Harrapan sites of Alamgirpur and Sthaneshwar
with an archaeology professor, where painted grey ware pottery
is in evidence.
Day 05:
Kurukshetra-Hissar-Rakhigarhi. Overnight camp
site.
Day 06 :
Participate in the digs of the twin mounds which
are typical symbols of Harrapan culture.
Day 07:
Rakhigarhi-Kalibangan.
Day 08:
The site at Kalibangan shows that there was
a massive mud brick rampart around the settlement. Visit the
site with an archaeologist.
Day 09:
Kalibangan-Bikaner Overnight.
Day 10: Bikaner-Jaipur Overnight.
Day 11: Full day sightseeing of Jaipur
Day 12:
Jaipur-Bombay. Check-in. Afternoon sightseeing.
Day13:
Bombay-Bhuj by air. Drive to "live" site of
Dhaulavira. Overnight camp site.
Day 14: Of all the sites in India, Dhaulavira stands apart
with its magnificent planning and enormity of area and deposit. Ten large-sized
signs of the Harrapan script can be seen as well as a variety of Funerary structures
amongst other interesting features.
Day
15: Continue participation in Excavations.
Day 16:
Dhaulavira Bhuj. Overnight.
Day 17:
Full day sightseeing.
Day 18:
Late afternoon flight to Bombay to connect to
your international flight back home.
